The American way of war in the 60s and 70s is to, you know, a lot that we've witnessed in Iraq and Afghanistan in particular in the last 20 years. And one of the other unfortunate parallels to Vietnam too is that you have civilian policymakers coming in who don't really understand the impact on the country of walking away. So in such a in such a cavernous way and throwing away something that could be sustained at a low cost,. Most of the people making the decisions are divorced from the people who actually fought in the war.
