The Death of Vitellius Oatho

Oatho tried to reason with Vitellius, and the two engaged in an increasingly acrimonious correspondence. Oatho conscripted around 2,000 gladiators and gathered up an undefined number of cavalry. But nothing he had on hand would be able to stand a chance against what Vitellian forces were sending south.
