Exercise is an active way to stimulate those mitochondria. You can improve the mitochondria just by intermittent fasting or by reducing salt, reducing sugar. I'm a big fan of green tea, dark chocolate, vitamin C, they all help. So there's all these eating well is one big thing, but exercise is another.
