The Libertarian Party and the Democratic Party
The Libertarian Party seems very much in line with the classical liberal findings of the nation and yet it doesn't get a whole lot of traction at election time. One of the things that has always puzzled me I guess it puzzles lots of people who think in a more classical liberal mindset is classical liberalism tends to agree with Republicans when it comes to broadly speaking economic issues. The Democrats have just as much reason as Republicans to welcome Libertarians coming from someone who has served in government.
