Plants and Pesticides - Are They a Controlled Substance?
Papavers omniferum is a controlled substance, that's the latin name for opium poppies. So if you don't know it, or they can prove that you know, you're screwed. And technically you are committing what is a very serious crime. It led to a whole summer of fear and paranoia in the garden. But as to why they mess with our minds in interesting ways, my theory is: If they created toxins that were so lethal that they just killed their pests, they would very quickly select for resistance.
