There's no magical personality profile of particular races like wonderful, like in America. If you look at the data in 1990, it looks the same as 2020 that happens there. We can move away from temperament and personality and say, OK, now look, let's look at life narratives. Let's look at opportunity rich, opportunity poor neighborhoods. And then we are going to find something because the science is there. As we start to get more and more molecular of where their problems lie, where the problems aren't and where we can target, then we can actually do something.

For too long, the term insubordination has evoked negative feelings and mental images. But for ideas to evolve and societies to progress, it’s vital to cultivate rebels who are committed to challenging conventional wisdom and improving on it. Change never comes easily. And most would-be rebels lack the skills to overcome hostile audiences who cling desperately to the way things are.
