The House of David, Eden Springs, and the Charges of Benjamin Purnell

In 1908, the house of David opened Eden Springs, an amusement park that over the years would be home to a world famous zoo. They had a hotel there, a restaurant bowling alley and one of the main attractions at the park was this coal powered miniature locomotives. And it became like this popular Michigan vacation spot. But then here's where it turns. Benjamin Purnell was accused of being a charlatan, a rapist and a child molester. He allegedly operated a fraudulent enterprise in the guise of religion while engaging in core sexual intercourse with the women and young girls of the colony.
