The Subtle Is Not Totally Disappearing
I was on a train with a young lad of 20, and i saw he was reading a philosophy book. He had left school at 16 because because the school was completely boring. It shows, you know, the sublime is dead if he has to do that. I just say very quickly, you knowa an ideas, an arts festival. And obviously people here are interested in philosophy, in these bi big ideas. But also i've been catching lots of very young artists who are performing amazing music,. So i think we ought only to just assert that the sublime is perhaps not entirely gone.
