The History of PG&E in California

PG&E has roots dating back to the Gold Rush. It only had one real competitor at any point in its long history. The two companies merged in 1930 and created a regional monopoly serving most of Northern Central California. So it really is a storied history. But in the 20th century, excuse me, there were just a number of different disasters associated with PG&E.
