The Whore of Babylon and the Bride of Christ

There's obvious parallelism for example between the whore of Babylon and the bride of Christ one is they're both pictured as women they are both cities you know new Jerusalem is the heavenly city. The whore of Babylon we're also told is a great city that rules the kings of the earth it most probably is either Rome which ruled the kings in a political sense or Jerusalem which ruled the world at the time.
