The Apocalypse of Love

There's another kind of apocalypse rock to consider and Mark Hurd gives us a brilliant example with everything is alright. As a songwriter, I have long gravitated towards this kind of writing too. My band, The Wayside, did a whole album called Farm in 1999 that could have been seen as apocalyptic in many ways as well. One of those songs, a sort of psychedelic folk rock tune called So Long featured dueling lap steel parts by Phil Madeira and Kenny Hudson. It was my attempt at crafting a sort of impressionistic apocalypse. I dream while it's just about to end.
