The Tension Between National Conservatism and Immigration

There's huge tension here between what we might call a sort of genuinely post liberal conservative position which is about things like protecting borders projecting national identity and immigration. The home secretary Suella Breverman speak her speech was flagged in advance by the media as being incredibly controversial incredibly far right it was really one of the most moderate and tepid things I've ever heard in my life. It seems impossible to say that millions of people Britain is looking at perhaps a million people moving to the country in the next year this is a massive increase in population.
