HIV - What's the CD4 Account?

The CD4 account makes me think of things in a different way. If he presents with the cough, pneumonia, chest x-ray findings, I think of it differently than if his CD4 is 50. So sometimes the viral load, not so much a viral load, kind of can tell me the burden on his immune system. But the CD4 really makes me think differently about how I approach or treat him.
