The WA High Risk Serious Offenders Act 2020
Australia passed the high risk serious offenders act 2020 in September 2022. The garlic case concerned a Nunga man, indigenous man, Peter Garlet, and garlic while pretending to be armed stole $20 and dependent necklace from a dwelling that he dented without consent. And we end up with this Western Australian legislation in the garlic case decided last month. Some eyebrows raised at the description of those being serious offenses in the company that they are keeping in the legislation.
