What Are the Things That Are Knowable Directly to Us, Right?
If i punch you in the jaw, you know you feel pain. You cannot convince yourself that a block of wood is going to make you feel better. And these are the things that are immediate and direct and knowable to us, right? This is what he says, clear to us, directly, knowable. But yet, when you get down to them, they're very confusing. They involve all sorts of different experiences, right? Involves motion. It involves maybe, like, seeing stars in front of your eyes. All those things have all kinds of different philosophical concepts mixed up between them.
