The Shadowy Figure Walked Across the Living Room

I moved in with my girlfriend two years ago. She is a widower, I am divorced. Her husband passed due to a self-induced insulin coma. Since we dated she had told me that she hears her name being called when in the bedroom closet and has seen a shadowy figure walk across the living room. There was either a real or imagined presence in the bathroom and closet area of the house since she works from home. This happened to me the first time about four years ago and has since happened two other times. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
