The Difference Between Technical Achievement and Economic Achievement
Trying to out compete fossil fuels requires creating and continuously improving a whole new global industry. Putting a man on the moon is not just a technical achievement, it's an economic achievement. And we really need to blow up this idea that something is technically duable on some scale and at some cost does not mean that it is economically duable on a global scale at low cost. We need energy to power our machines. Everyone needs it. They need to be able to afford it.
