How Does Self Supervised Learning Work in Language Processing?
Self-supervised learning works astonishingly well in natural language ponsessing. It's revolutionized the way people do natural language understanding and translation. But it has not yet completely translated in other domains like speech recognition or image recognition, although getting there. We don't know how to represent uncertainty in more complex domains like audio,. images, vileo recordings. So ware ware inventing new techniques that are really promising is a big challenge.
