The second word war is one of those wars where civilian casualties vastly outnumber military casualties. By the time human being lawn mower grinds to a halt in 19 forty five, the death totals are some of the worst in recorded history. And it's hard for me not to notice that we haven't had a great war between the great powers in the 75 years since the second world war ended. Of course, there might be another reason for that, and i can't help but notice that we hasn't used nuclear weapons on human beings since either.
When do spirit, tenacity, resilience and bravery cross into madness? When cities are incinerated? When suicide attacks become the norm? When atomic weapons are used? Japan's leaders test the limits of national endurance in the war's last year.
