Bowie Song Review - Word on the Wing by Roy Bitten
Roy Bitten's piano playing elevates the song. Word on the wing is a legitimate declaration of vulnerability and devotion to a higher power Although I really like Mike's take that this is just a guy at rock bottom But there's no faux gospel Here it's just slightly offbeat pop music Sung is sincerely as you can imagine from someone who very often kept himself hidden behind several walls at any given time So it's revelatory in that way If Bowie did this every time he might not have been Bowie And it might have gotten old but just this one time I find it sublime John, where do you fall on this?
