The Importance of Instrumental Cascades
The pen that you're using to write notes is only writing the notes insofar as it's being used by a higher cause, namely you. You could think of a musical instrument and it would give you an even better idea. The violin that you buy on Amazon for $80 compared to the Strata various is going to generate an enormously different sound. Some instruments are better than others. And we could work out more examples of instrumental causality in the way that an instrument is drawn into the higher activity of a higher cause.
