Dream Theater Is Not for You. It's for You!
Awake is supposed to be the one where dream theaters record label told them to go in a more straightforward metal direction and it's supposedly alienated fan. It just sounds like Peter Gabriel wondered what would happen if he booked Wayne static to play guitar on a session. If you manage to make it a couple minutes into the song, a rhodomania, this synthesizer that sounds like a xylophone gets dumped on top of the whole song. Like these guys believe they are hot rats era zappa or something. There's a hundred percent chance that some self proclaimed metal head has cried himself in his bathtub listening to dream theater. That is what has happened in the history of the world
