Love set up their own publishing company, Grassroots Music. The way the contract was set up it was administered by third-story music. Snoopy only got session fees for the records he played on - no royalties. They didn't realise this was happening for literally decades. Love's first album was a classic Garage Rock sound of spiky and harsh punk. Can't Explain shows that most influences is from the Stones' What a Shame.
