The Importance of Confirmation in Faith
In 1585, Hooker wrote a sermon on the certainty and perpetuity of faith in the elect. He wanted to reassure his readers that they can have a degree of confidence or certainty in their own salvation. God's bestowal of grace to the faithful is as certain as anything could be says Hooker.
