Deep Versus Awake Extubation for Kids?
You have to be prepared for luringus spasm in the hallway or some other kind of respiratory complication including things like vomiting. Pushing hard there and lifting the jaw from there is what I think people recommend. CPAP, if that doesn't work, is your go to with when you do have an IV because it's after the case. Do you do propofol and then only sucks if needed or what's your protocol?
