The Biden Asylum Rule
Biden administration is trying to roll out a new asylum rule for migrants. It presumes that migrants are ineligible for asylum in the US if they did not first seek asylum in a country they passed through like Mexico. If found ineligible, they could be removed through expedited removal and barred from reentering the US for five years. This policy is very similar to the Trump Air policy, which was struck down repeatedly in the courts.
