How to Be a Better Runner in a Downhill Race

If you don't have a lot of hills to train on, this can present a challenging situation. The number one thing I'll say is that mileage in your total volume is going to make you better at hill running than runners who don't have as much endurance. Weightlifting toughens up those connective tissues. It makes you stronger and better able to handle all of that extra impact force.
