Reformed Theology Explains Solidarity With Adam in Covenantal Terms

The resurrection of Christ is a concrete event in redemptive history with universal significance for all men everywhere. Reformed theology traditionally has explained solidarity with Adam in covenantal terms. As second Adam, Christ stands in a solidaric relationship to all men as either redeemer or judge. But at the same time, it secures condemnation for those who are not his church for covenant breakers.
