Rob Bonta's Wealth Tax
Rob Bonta is a California assemblyman, and it's his big smart idea to implement a wealth tax in California. The state of California thinks that they can tax you up to 10 years after you left the state of California on wealth that was created as you lived in the state. This is not income. What they're trying to tax now is what was left over after they taxed at the first time. It's a little befuddling to me too, but I'm pretty sure they'll come up with something.
