Attenuated Ventilatory Response to Hypoxemia
The decrease in FVC was only 13% in PEFR was only 9%. Less effort because of the post-anesthetic state could be at play here. The idea there is that the crowded body chemo receptor might be less sensitive to hypoxemia if acetylcholine receptors are blocked.
In this part II or II series on neuromuscular blockade, we investigate the claim that a train-of-four target of 90% is important to achieve prior to extubation.
