In march, two thousand 22, it's been a turbulent year in peru. Not just because of the pandemic, but in politics as well. The new left wing president, pedro castillo, started his term in july Two thousand and 21. It was a hotly contested election, where the right wing candidate caco fudi muri refused to accept his victory. Zachia works for the government ministry responsible for women and vulnerable communities. He admits that some institutions, including his own, need to change. And his pushing to get more freedom for the children stuck in the homes. But he says the government really are trying to support the covid orphans.
