I Don't Think Members of Congress Should Be Getting PPP Loans
At least a dozen members of Congress benefited from PPP loans in total. The Small Business Administration and Treasury Department have been unusually lax about properly seeing and administering this money, as we've seen. Just because the SBA waived conflict of interest and ethic guidelines does that really make it ethical? It's not as if the rules around lawmakers getting money are completely new territory. Yet, as easy as it was for shady and questionable people to take money, it could be difficult too for small business owners to receive the money they deserved.
