Dr. Hampton still faces challenges in the mainstream medical space, where other doctors struggle to embrace certain concepts; for example, many of his peers continue to have trouble accepting the idea that saturated fat is not harmful. (14:00) Despite the benefits of a low-carb or ketogenic diet and its positive effects on things like diabetes and other metabolic diseases, it is still not accepted by many doctors.
