The Pursuit of Happiness
Boethius argues that happiness is kind of actually one thing, but we split it up into lots of little things. Wealth, honor, power, fame, bodily pleasure. And then he moves in and says, okay, so all these things are insufficient goods. So if these human things are not sufficient, then it must be a divine thing that is sufficient. That's what he moves into at the end of book three.
