If you invented vodka tomorrow, yeah, it wouldn't be legalized in a way. What would an entrepreneur do if they could legalize weed? They'd push the price down. The legal market has all manner of sex, trade and violence involved. And I grew up with a lot of people who dealt drugs - mostly just so they didn't have to pay for their own. One or two people I knew along the way were proper drug dealers.
