The Supreme Court has ruled over and over again that these are constitutional. It's okay for the state to prevent commercial activities, even if the days are religious. So at this point, it feels like the religious argument has sort of gone out the window. And that's more what the unions lean on is that it imposes a day where you can't force people to work.
