CHAPTER

The Cost of Accepting the Person Affecting View

So the methodology that I like to use for this I guess is you could sort of ask yourself. Is there a good kind of like philosophical rationale for why we should only be attending to the interests of main people and not extra people? And particularly only the extra people whose lives are good and not the extra people who have bad ones. You know when we sort of run run the different available views on this question against Like a gamut of philosophical thought experiments and sort of tally up the damage taken by every view, try to think about which of these views might be caused by some kind of bias in the way we're processing the case so we can ask posuality for ourselves.
