Diogenes' Cynic Creed
Kratis, a follower of Diogenes, is considered the first cynic. He gave away his property and lived in ostentatious poverty to pursue philosophy. But kratis' toughness didn't prevent him from finding love with Hipparchia. Notoriously, they followed Diogenes' example of public self-pleasuring by having sex out in the open.
