Coatia's Struggle for Independence Began in the Summer of 1991

Croatia's struggle for independence began 20 years earlier with the croatian spring of 19 71. Marshal tito, a croat himself, shut down the movement due to its nationalist overtones. Many crowats were still angry about how that turned out. The reality was that coatia could not break away from yugoslavia as easily as slovania had. Friction between croat and croatian serbs has always been an issue.
