Ogier gislan de buzbeck was a diplomat in the service of the holy roman empire. He noticed that some people were speaking a language that resembled his own native dutchlanguage. De buzbeck recorded as many of the words as he could, about a hundred in total, and he published them a few years later. His work was the last evidence of that gothic dialect before it ely disappeared forevera short time later.
