The Soviet Union was incredible at developing these closed cycle high powered turbo pumps. But if you try to scale the combustion chamber too big, you end up with what's called combustion instability. The already 171 is like still to date the most powerful rocket engine ever built. All four of those nozzles can actually pivot and rotate. I never thought that was a thing you would ever could do, honestly.
