The Rise of the Proletariat
In the age of industrial production, the proletariat begins to grow to a sizable class that has real strength in only on the basis of its numbers. Marx explains that the worker has become, quote, an appendage of the machine and it is only the most simple, most monotonous and most easily acquired knack that is required. And so thus the instability within capitalism, both resulting from constant crisis as well as the growing and angry proletariat, ensure that eventually there will be a point of rupture according to Marx.
