13 conspirators in the plot to massacre the cabinet were arrested. Two turned ins evidence, which meant that the trial could proceed without blowing the cover of george edwards by having to call him to testify. The trials began on april seventeenth, 18 20, and the guilt of most of those on trial was never really in question. Their execution drew an enormous crowd, and a railing at saint sepulchre's c collapsed under the weight of all the people who had climbed up onto it for a better view. After this point, the cato street rebellion put an end to the most radical arm of the labor rights movement during the time.
