Tracheal intubation is a very common procedure required by critically ill adults across the world. Despite the frequency of this intervention, how often we do it and also the brevity of it, it's a procedure that typically takes two or so minutes. The incidence has been reported up to 40 percent of peri-intubation hypotension, cardiac arrest or death. This requires millions of Americans every year alone.
