The Declining Unions and Family Breakdown

There's a pretty clear line from unemployment and falling wages to family breakdown. And that is that if men don't have good jobs, then they're not marriageable. Could you draw a line also rippling further outwards to the breakdown in community? Is that related to the declining wages or is that something that's been happening largely separately? No, I think it is related. Those union halls don't exist anymore because there are hardly any unions left in the private sector.
