The Trial of the Rooster of Bazal

The trial of the rooster of bozl would be, in essence, a witch trial. The accused was given an attorney who did his level best to defend his client. Almost everything i know about the trial itself comes from a book entitled the lawyer in history, literature and humor written by william andrews in 18 97. According to williams, the lawyer couldn't deny that the rooster laid eggs, that much, the defence admitted as proven. What wasn't proven, he argued, was the intent. Beyond some superstitious conjecture, there was no sign of evil in the rooster. Unlike all those pigs, no one and nothing had been hurt.
