Hillary Cass has found that there needs to be different treatment pathways for young people. And we've heard Tyler's story of how it can go right. When things go wrong with the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, what goes wrong? Well, what can go wrong? So I've spoken to one young trans man in the book called Jacob, and interestingly, he was on the blockers from the age of 12 for four years. Really, they didn't work for him. He still identifies as male, but he's not living with any hormonal intervention. The stuff outside of Arids wasn't doing it either so all those other things got overlooked.
