The Extension of Orientalism and Power Dynamics

This chapter explores how the binary logic of Orientalism extends beyond Europe, critiquing Edward Said's suggestion that it is natural for countries and cultures to rely on such distinctions. It also discusses the demonization of Islamic countries and Arabic people, and the construction of the Orient as a homogenized and imagined entity.
