The Importance of Team Communication in Emergency Medicine

I think that team communication is really vital. And it's definitely something that we drill and you and I drilled that together, you know, over our years in residency for sure. So part of my job is that I also run the simulation curriculum. Once a month, we have a four or five hour session down in the Sim Center where we go through cases. We get to give the residents an opportunity to show how they would take care of a very sick person in a controlled environment. This allows us as faculty to like directly observe them without actually having to worry that the patient's really dying.
