Why Don't Christian Politicians Have a Christian Instinct?
i'm not saying that christian ethics ought to kind of become the only lens through which we view public policy. We don't actually have examples of a powerful natior with a big army saying, as a president, i'm not going to blow you up. I'm going to instead give you a bunch of aid. And so if christianity has a way of approaching life that might actually be compelling to the rest of the world, you don't have to say, i'm implementing christianity to do it right. So what i'm saying is, why don't we actually think christianly about solutions to problems? Because we think that christianity won't work.
